Alan H. Scheiner Published on Subprime Litigation and Federal Preemption in the Pace Law Review
LLF Counsel Alan H. Scheiner has published an article in the Pace Law Review entitled State Subprime Lending Litigation and Federal Preemption: Toward a National Standard.
In the article, Mr. Scheiner argues in favor of federal preemption to establish national standards in the regulation of mortgage lending and securitization. The article is based on a paper that Mr. Scheiner originally prepared for Pace Law School's conference in March 2009, Real Property, Mortgages, and the Economy: A Call for Ethics and Reforms, and has been updated to reflect some of the past year's developments in this rapidly evolving area.
